Two French boats, Le Grand Reservoir/Mazet & Associase and Give Me 5 – French Youth Team are in the two top positions overall going into the final race of the SB20 World Championship on Hobart’s River Derwent.

The British boat Marvel is third overall, with Australia’s Export Roo slipping from second o fourth in standings.

The light north-easterly breeze suited the European crews, filling seven of the first eight placings in race 11, with Achille Nebout in Le Grand Reservoir/Mazet & Associase, winning narrowly from the Irish boat Provident CRM (Michael O’Connor) second, his best race of the regatta.

The Russian boat Melston Team (Kirill Frolov) finished third, their first race placing of the regatta.

Marvel (Richard Powell) crossed the line fourth and is now third in standings while Export Roo (Michael Cooper, AUS) slipped to fourth overall after finishing 17th, two places astern of French rival Robin Follin, helming Give Me 5 – French Youth Team.

Positions have reversed with the completion of  race 11,  Le Grand Reervoir/Mazet & Asociase (FRA) moving from third to first, Export Roo (AUS) dropping from second to fourth, Give Me 5 – French Youth Team (FRA) dropping from first overall to second, and Marvel (GBR) improving from fourth to third.

  2. Give Me 5 – French Youth Team (Robin Follin, FRA) 49 points.
